फ्रिज बनवणारया "केल्विनेटर" या कंपनिची "अवंती" मोपेड

केल्विनेटर कंपनी भारतात फ्रिज बनवणारी कंपनी म्हणुन अोळखली जाते.या केल्विनेटर कंपनिने ८० च्या दशकात"अवंती" नावाची मोपेड बनवली होती.सर्वसामान्य लोकांमध्ये ती लोकप्रिय देखिल होती. त्यावेळी तिची स्पर्धा "लुना"शी होती.,हि मोपेड इटलीमध्ये डिझाइन केली गेली होती आणि तीचे उत्पादन भारतात होत होते. अवंती ही मोपेड 50 सीसी, दोन-स्ट्रोक  व्हीआयपी - 2 इंजिन वर कार्यरत होती.इंजिनमध्ये दोन-गती स्वयंचलित प्रेषण होते. पहिल्या गीयरने आरंभिक पिकअपची काळजी घेत,तर दुसरे गियर गतीने पळण्यास मदत करीत असे.मोपेडचे वजन फक्त 54 किलो होते. या मोपेडला 3.75 लीटर इंधन क्षमतेची टाकी होती,पेट्रोल संपले असता  जवळच्या पेट्रोल पंपापर्यन्त आपण पॅडल मारत जाऊ शकत होतो.ही मोपेड एका व्यक्तिस बसणेस योग्य होती. पाठीमागे कॅरिअर व गोल हेडलाईट होता.मोपेड चालु करणेसाठी किकस्टॅन्डवर मोपेड ठेऊन पायडल मारत चालु करावी लागत होती.  जेणेकरुन मागील चाक मुक्तपणे फिरू शकेल.मध्यमवर्गीय लोकांना मोटरसायकल घेणे परवडत नव्हते असा वर्ग "लुना" व "अवंती" किंवा Tvs 50 या मोपेडकडे आकर्षिला जात होता.

पण "चल मेरी लुना" च्या या काळात अंवती लोकप्रिय असुनही काहीशी मागे पडली.लुना च्या निर्मात्याने जशी लुनाची जाहिराती वर जोर दिला तसा अंवतीने दिला नाही व काही वर्षातच  केल्विनेटरने अंवतीचे उत्पादन बंद केले.आज ही मोपेड लोंकाच्या विस्म्रुतीत गेली आहे.

"Avanti" moped of "Kelvinator" company which makes refrigerators

The Kelvinator company is known as the refrigerator manufacturer in India. The Kelvinator company made a moped called "Avanti" in the 80's. It was also popular among the common people. At that time it was competing with "Luna".  this moped was designed in Italy and was being manufactured in India. The Avanti moped was running on a 50 cc, two-stroke VIP-2 engine. The engine had a two-speed automatic transmission. The first gear took care of the initial pickup, while the second gear helped run at speed. The moped weighed only 54 kg. This moped had a tank with a fuel capacity of 3.75 liters. When we ran out of petrol, we could pedal to the nearest petrol pump. This moped was suitable for one person. There was a carrier and a round headlight on the back. So that the rear wheel could rotate freely. The middle class people who could not afford a motorcycle were attracted to the mopeds "Luna" and "Avanti" or Tvs 50.

However, during the period of "Chal Meri Luna", Anvati fell behind despite being popular. Lunta's creator did not give as much emphasis on Luna's advertisements and within a few years, Kelvinator stopped the production of Anvati. Today, this moped has been forgotten by Lonka.
