पुरूष तर बळी पडतातच पण महिला सुध्दा सेक्सटॉर्शनला बळी पडत आहेत.महिलांच्या फेसबुक मेसेंजरवर त्याच महिलेचे फोटो मोर्फ करून व्हायरल करण्याची धमकी देत पैशांची मागणी केली जात असल्याच्या घटना घडत आहेत. त्यामुळे महिलांनो, आता अनोळखी फ्रेण्ड रिक्वेस्ट आल्यास ती स्वीकारू नये, असे आवाहन पोलीस विभागाकडून करण्यात येत आहे.वैवाहिक जीवनातील कलह, जोडीदाराकडून लैंगिक अपेक्षा पूर्ण न होणे, कमी वयात झालेले घटस्फोट अशा गोष्टींमुळे समाजातील काही लोक सेक्सटॉर्शनला बळी पडत आहेत. मात्र, आता महिलाही यात गुरफटल्या जात असून, त्यांनादेखील ब्लॅकमेल करण्याचे प्रकार घडू लागले आहेत.

Once someone is caught in their trap, the video is created with the help of a screen recorder. Not only men but also women are caught in the trap. They have the special skill of motivating to send nude videos and photos. Then the work of the other team starts. The team calls the person concerned and tells them that the nude video was recorded and collects the ransom by threatening to make the video viral. A team of these youths also open bank accounts on the basis of fake documents to solicit money. After the ransom is collected, 20% of the amount is given to the first team youth. They have no idea about the rest of the teams or how much was recovered. Most of the youngsters in this village have a first-class job. So if there is a police action, this is the first time these youngsters are caught. Because that's what the police check. It is difficult to find evidence against the rest of the people and take action against them, said Khoh police station officials. This is because only 10 to 12 per cent of the total cases are reported. Some police in the rest of the states have repeatedly sought the help of local police in such cases in the last few months.
