परग्रहावर एलियन्स आहेत का. ? याबाबत बरयाच वर्षापासून संशोधन चालू आहे.पण याबद्दल अमेरिकन संस्था "नासा" जास्त काही बोलत नाही. एलियन्स बाबत पाच संशोधकांना काय वाटते ते पाहुया
🔹जोंटी हॉर्नर दक्षिण क्‍वीन्सलँड विद्यापीठातील खगोलशास्त्राचे प्राध्यापक जोंटी हॉर्नर यांनी सांगितले की, एलियन्स आहेत की नाहीत? या प्रश्‍नाचे उत्तर निश्‍चितपणे ‘आहेत’ असेच असावे. मात्र, खरा प्रश्‍न हा आहे की, आपण शोधण्याइतके एलियन्स आपल्या इतक्या नजीक आहेत का? अंतराळाचा पसारा अतिशय मोठा आहे. ब—ह्मांडात अगणित तारे आहेत आणि जवळजवळ प्रत्येक तार्‍याभोवती फिरणारे ग्रह आहेत. आपल्या ‘मिल्की वे’ या आकाशगंगेतच 400 अब्ज तारे असण्याचे अनुमान आहे. जर त्यापैकी प्रत्येकाजवळ पाच ग्रह असतील, तर एकट्या आपल्याच आकाशगंगेत दोन खर्व ग्रह असतील. आकाशगंगेत जितके ग्रह आहेत, त्यापेक्षा अधिक संपूर्ण ब—ह्मांडात आकाशगंगा आहेत. त्यामुळे एलियन्स आहेत असे मानले, तरी त्यांचे पुरावे शोधणे हे अत्यंत कठीण काम आहे.
🔹स्टिव्हन टिंगे कर्टिन विद्यापीठातील रेडिओ खगोल विज्ञानाचे प्राध्यापक स्टिव्हन टिंगे यांनी सांगितले की, परग्रहांवर जीवाणूंसारख्या सूक्ष्म जीवांच्या रूपातच जीवसृष्टी आहे की, आपल्यासारखी प्रगत जीवसृष्टीही तिथे आहे, या प्रश्‍नाचे उत्तर कोणत्याही स्वरूपातील जीवसृष्टी ही ‘एलियन’मध्येच मोडते असे आहे. ‘एलियन्स’चा अर्थ पृथ्वीशिवाय अन्य ग्रहांवर कोणत्याही स्वरूपात असलेले जीवन. सध्या ‘जीवना’च्या परिभाषेवर विस्तृत सहमती नाही. ही एक गुंतागुंतीची धारणा आहे. मात्र, पृथ्वीशिवाय अन्यत्र कुठेही साधा जीवाणूसारखा सूक्ष्म जीवही आढळला, तर त्याला आम्ही ‘परग्रह जीवन’ या रूपातच वर्गीकृत करू. जीवसृष्टीच्या उत्पत्तीला पोषक स्थिती ब—ह्मांडातील केवळ पृथ्वी नामक ग्रहावरच आहे, अन्यत्र नाही असे म्हणणे अत्यंत धाडसाचेच आहे. मात्र, मानवासारख्या प्रगत जीवांच्या रूपातही अन्यत्र जीवसृष्टी असेल, असे गृहीत धरूनही संशोधन सुरूच आहे. असे प्रगत जीव असलेच, तर तेही वेगळ्या नियमांनी बांधले गेलेले असू शकतात.
🔹लेन मेनाई-केसली ऑस्ट्रेलियातील वरिष्ठ उपकरण वैज्ञानिक लेन मेनाई-केसली यांनी म्हटले आहे की, आपण कुठे ना कुठे सक्रिय जीवन शोधू शकू, असा मला विश्‍वास वाटतो. काही कालावधीनंतर त्यामध्येही आपल्याला यश मिळू शकेल. आपल्याच सौरमंडळातही संशोधक त्याद‍ृष्टीने अनुकूल व संभाव्य ठिकाण शोधत आहेत. गुरूचे दोन मोठे चंद्र गॅनीमीड आणि युरोपा यांच्यावर बर्फाच्या स्तराखाली महासागर आहेत. हे असे चंद्र आहेत जेथील तापमान योग्य आहे आणि तिथे पाणी व खनिजेही आहेत. आपण जीवसृष्टीचा विचार नेहमी पृथ्वीसापेक्षच करीत असतो. मात्र, परिस्थितीनुसार अन्य खगोलांवरील जीवसृष्टी पृथ्वीवरील जीवनापेक्षा वेगळी असू शकते. शनिचा चंद्र टायटनवरही अणूंची एक रंजक शृंखला आहे. तसेच तिथे विशिष्ट ऋतुचक्रही आहे. आपल्याच सौरमंडळात असे वैविध्य आहे, तर आकाशगंगेत असे अनेक सौरमंडळ आणि ब—ह्मांडात अशा अनेक आकाशगंगा आहेत. त्यामुळे कुठे ना कुठे सक्रिय जीवसृष्टी असण्याची शक्यता मोठीच आहे!

🔹मार्टिन व्हॅन-क्रॅनेंडोंक ‘यूएनएसडब्ल्यू’चे प्राध्यापक मार्टिन व्हॅन-क्रॅनेंडोंक यांनी सांगितले की, एलियन्सचे अस्तित्व आहे की नाही, या प्रश्‍नाचे सरळ उत्तर ‘नाही’ असेच आहे. जर आपण अनुभवजन्य माहितीचा उपयोग करून पृथ्वीबाहेरील जीवनाशी संदर्भातील प्रश्‍नांचे उत्तर शोधण्याचा प्रयत्न केला, तर ‘नाही’ असेच उत्तर येते. अर्थातच या प्रश्‍नाशी संबंधित आपले ज्ञानही मर्यादितच आहे. आपण जीवनाच्या संकेतांबाबत ब—ह्मांडाच्या प्रत्येक कानाकोपर्‍याची तपासणी केलेली नाही. तसेच एखाद्या अन्य रासायनिक प्रणालीत जीवन असू शकते का, हेही आपल्याला माहिती नाही. याचे कारण इथे पृथ्वीवरही कार्बन आधारित जीवनाची कोणतीही सर्वसंमत व्याख्या नाही. त्यामुळे अधिक विस्तारित उत्तर ‘आपल्याला माहिती नाही’ असेच असू शकते. वास्तवात, या प्रश्‍नाचे उत्तर देण्यासाठी आपण सक्षम नाही. मात्र, सध्या निश्‍चितपणे या विषयावर बरेच संशोधन होत आहे. त्यामुळे भविष्यात आपल्याला नक्‍कीच समजेल की आपण ब—ह्मांडात एकटेच आहोत की आपल्याला आणखी कुणी शेजारी आहेत!
🔹 एलियन्सशी संपर्क साधु नका
एलियन्स म्हणजेच परग्रहवासीयांशी संपर्क साधला, तर पृथ्वीवरील जीवसृष्टी नष्ट होऊ शकते. वैज्ञानिक आणि विज्ञान लेखक "मार्क बुकानन" यांनी सांगितले की, हा धोका लक्षात घेऊन माणसाने परग्रहवासीयांचा शोध घेणे किंवा त्यांच्याशी संपर्क साधण्याचा प्रयत्न करणे सोडून दिले पाहिजे.
बुकानन यांनी आपल्या दाव्याच्या समर्थनासाठी एका व्हिडीओचा उल्‍लेख केला आहे. हा व्हिडीओ एप्रिल 2020 मध्ये अमेरिकेच्या संरक्षण विभागाने प्रसिद्ध केला होता. या व्हिडीओमध्ये दिसून येते की, अमेरिकन नौदलाचे विमान एका ‘अज्ञात हवाई वस्तू’चा सामना करीत आहे. ही वस्तू इतकी वेगवान होती आणि ती अशा दिशेत उडत होती ते पाहता माणूस असे विमान कधीही बनवू शकणार नाही, हे स्पष्ट होते. एक वर्षापूर्वीच पेंटॅगॉन या अमेरिकन लष्करी मुख्यालयाच्या एका लीक फुटेजमध्ये दिसून आले होते की, सॅन दियागोच्या आकाशात एक अज्ञात वस्तू उडत आहे. त्यामुळे संभाव्य प्रगत एलियन्स माणसाबरोबर सलोख्याने किंवा शांतीने राहण्यासाठी पृथ्वीवर येतील अशी भाबडी आशा बाळगण्यात अर्थ नाही, असे संशोधकांचे मत आहे. बुकानन यांनी ‘वॉशिंग्टन पोस्ट’मध्ये लिहिलेल्या एका लेखात म्हटले आहे की, आपल्याकडे अद्याप कोणत्याही एलियन संस्कृतीचे पुरावे नाहीत, ही खरी तर दिलासादायकच बाब आहे. जर एलियन्स असतील आणि त्यांच्याशी संपर्क साधण्याचा प्रयत्न केला गेला, तर तो मानवजातीसह जीवसृष्टीसाठी धोकादायक ठरू शकतो. खगोलशास्त्रज्ञ जो गेर्ट्ज यांनीही बुकानन यांचे समर्थन केले आहे.
यावरून शास्त्रज्ञात मतभेद असल्याचे दिसून येते.

So the more elaborate answer might be 'you don't know'. In fact, you are not able to answer this question. However, there is definitely a lot of research going on right now. So in the future we will know for sure that we are alone in the universe or we have any other neighbors!
🔹 Do not contact aliens
Contact with aliens could destroy life on Earth. Scientist and science writer Mark Buchanan said that in view of this danger, man should stop searching for aliens or trying to contact them.
Buchanan cited a video in support of his claim. The video was released in April 2020 by the US Department of Defense. The video shows a U.S. Navy aircraft encountering an "unknown aerial object." The fact that the object was so fast and that it was flying in such a direction made it clear that man would never be able to build such a plane. A year ago, leaked footage from the U.S. military headquarters at the Pentagon showed an unidentified object flying in the sky over San Diego. Therefore, there is no point in hoping that potential advanced aliens will come to Earth to live in peace or harmony with humans, say researchers. "We don't have any evidence of an alien culture yet, which is really comforting," Buchanan wrote in an article in the Washington Post. If there were aliens and attempts were made to contact them, it could be dangerous to life, including mankind. Buchanan is also backed by astronomer Joe Gertz.
This shows that there is disagreement among scientists.
