कॅसेट लायब्ररी
१९८८-८९ चा तो काळ होता.टी.व्ही. जरी नुकताच आला असला तरी मनोरंजनाची साधने मर्यादित होती.त्यावेळी रेडिओ वरच गाणी एेकावी लागत तीपण मर्यादित. घरी जरी कॅसेट रेकॉर्डर असला तरी हव्या त्या गाण्यासाठी कॅसेट खरेदी केली तर कोल्हापूरात शिवाजी स्टेडियम समोर "झंकार म्युझिक" नावाचे कॅसेट लायब्ररी होती.
१२×१२ च्या या दुकानाला काचेचा दरवाजा होता. तो ढकलून आत गेल्यावर गुढ संगितमय वातावरणात प्रवेश होई.यावेळी सिस्टीम वर कोणते ना कोणते म्युझिक चालू असे.इथली साउंड सिस्टीम मनाला इतकी छान वाटे की,आपणही अशी सिस्टीम घ्यावी असा मी मनात बेत करी.आमच्या घरी त्यावेळी लांबट आकाराचा टेपरेकॉर्डर होता, व त्यात त्या दुकानातल्या सारखा सुखद अनुभव येत नसे. कारण आमच्या टेपरेकॉर्डरला बास,ट्रबल सिस्टीम नव्हती. दुकानतल्या सारखी महागडी सिस्टीम घेणे मला शक्य नव्हते. असो, तर या दुकानात कॅसेट भाडयाने देत असत.थोडक्यात ती कॅसेट लायब्ररी होती याच बरोबर मनपसंत गाणी कॅसेटवर रेकॉर्डिंग करून देत असत.
लायब्ररी मेंबरसाठी त्यावेळी ३० रूपये डिपॉझिट व महिना १० रूपये भाडयावर आपणास हवी ती कॅसेट दररोज बदलुन मिळे. ती कॅसेट घेऊन घरी जाऊन एेकुन दुसऱ्या दिवशी परत करावी लागे.व दुसरी कॅसेट देत असत.दुकानाचे मालक बहुधा मोने नामक गृहस्थ होते असे आठवते.त्यांनी त्यावेळी एक मुलगा व एक मुलगी दुकानात कामावर ठेवली होती. माझ्या मित्राबरोबर मी कॉलेजवरून परस्पर त्या दुकानात जाई.माझा मित्र दररोज कॅसेट बदलायला त्या दुकानी का जाई हे माझ्या नंतर लक्षात आले.कारण दुपारी १२ ला कॉलेज सुटल्यानंतर तो कॅसेट बदलायला चल म्हटले तर येत नसे,मात्र दुपारी तो कॅसेट बदलुन आणी.कारण तिथे काम करणाऱ्या मुलीची ड्युटी दुपारी असे.
या दुकानात कॅसेट लायब्ररी बरोबरच आपणास हवी ती गाणी भरून (रेकॉर्डिंग करून)पण देत असत.यासाठी रिकामी कंपनिची कॅसेट घ्यावी लागे,त्यावेळी टी सिरीजची 5 star,TDK या कंपनीच्या ब्लॅन्क कॅसेट(६० मिनिटाची) २० रूपयाला मिळत.तर ९० मिनिटाची २७ ते ३० रूपयाला मिळत.कागदावर आपल्या पंसदिची हिंदी -मराठी किंवा इंग्लिश गाणी लिहुन दयावी लागत. यासाठी ६० मिनिटाची कॅसेट करिता १० रूपये तर ९० मिनिटाची कॅसेट तरता १५ रूपये दर आकारला जाई.जुन्यातील जुनी दुर्मिळ गाणी येथे मिळे म्हणुन दर्दी जाणकार कानसेन लोंकाचा या दुकानात राबता असे. येथुन मी बरयाच वेळा कॅसेट रेकॉर्डिंग करून नेल्या आहेत.भाडयाने कॅसेट नेण्यापेक्षा हे रेकॉर्डिंग कॅसेट परवडत. कारण ती कॅसेट कायमची आपलीच होत असे.बाजारात आपल्या पंसदिची गाणी मिळेच असे नाही.कारण, कधी कधी आपल्या पंसतीच्या एका गाण्यासाठी त्या चित्रपटाची संपुर्ण कॅसेट घ्यावी लागे.त्या चित्रपटातील इतर गाणी चांगली व आवडती असतच असे नाही म्हणुन बहुतेतजणांचा कल कॅसेट रेकॉर्डिंग करून घेण्याकडे असे.
काळ सरत होता,मनोरंजन क्षेत्रात प्रगती होत होती माणसाची आवड बदलत होती. या सुमारास ते "झंकार म्युझिक" हे दुकान शाहुपुरी परिख पुलासमोर छोट्या दुकान गाळयात आले.१९९७-९८ च्या सुमारास सीडी कॅसेट आली.व संगीत क्षेत्रात क्रांती आली.मग कॅसेट कंपन्या चालेनास्या झाल्या. कारण दहा पंधरा कॅसेटची गाणी एका सीडीवर बसु लागली.एम पी ३ चा जमाना आला. कालांतराने त्या दुकानदाराने हे "झंकार म्युझिक" दुकान बंद करून मोठे मोबाईल दुकान काढले.या काळात घराघरातील टेप कॅसेट भंगारात काढली जाऊ लागली.व त्याची जागा अद्यावत साऊंड सिस्टिमने घेतली.
हे कमी की काय,म्हणुन २००८-०९ च्या सुमारास प्रत्येकाच्या हातात मोबाईल आला.सीडीची जागा इवल्याशा "मेमरी कार्ड" ने घेतली.यात तर किती गाणी भरायची याची लिमीटच संपली.
आता तर प्रत्येकाच्या हातात मोबाईल आला आहे.हव्या त्यावेळी हवी ती गाणी डाऊनलोड करून एेकता येतात.पण...जी मजा कॅसेट एेकणयात होती ती कोठेतरी हरवली आहे.

The sound system here was so good that I decided that you should also take such a system. It was not a pleasant experience like in the shop. Because our tape recorder didn't have a bass, trouble system. I couldn't afford an expensive system like the one in the store. Anyway, in this shop they used to rent cassettes. In short, it was a cassette library and they used to record their favorite songs on cassettes.
For a library member at that time you can get the deposit of Rs. 30 and the rent of Rs. 10 per month. She had to take the cassette home and return it the next day. She used to give another cassette. The owner of the shop is probably a gentleman named Mone. I used to go to that shop with my friend from college. I later found out why my friend used to go to that shop every day to change the cassette. The girl's duty was in the afternoon.
In this shop, along with the cassette library, they also used to fill (record) the songs you wanted. For this, you had to buy an empty company cassette. Getting money. You have to write your favorite Hindi-Marathi or English songs on paper. For this, a 60-minute cassette was charged at Rs 10 and a 90-minute cassette was charged at Rs 15. From here, I have taken cassette recordings many times. Because that cassette was always yours. It's not like you get your favorite songs in the market. Because, sometimes you have to take the whole cassette of that movie for one of your favorite songs.
Time was passing, progress was being made in the field of entertainment, man's interest was changing. Around this time, the shop called "Jhankar Music" came to a small shop in front of Shahupuri Parikh Bridge. Around 1997-98, CD cassettes came. And there was a revolution in the field of music. Because the songs of ten or fifteen cassettes started sitting on one CD. The time of MP3 came. Eventually, the shopkeeper closed the "Jingle Music" store and set up a large mobile shop..
Whether it was less or not, around 2008-09, everyone got a mobile phone. The CD was replaced by Ivalya's "memory card". There was no limit to how many songs to play.
Now everyone has a mobile in their hands. They can download and listen to any song they want at any time. But ... the fun that was in the cassette unit has been lost somewhere.
