सिंधुदूर्ग जिल्हात मालवण तालुक्यात बिसवण नावाचे गाव आहे. या गावातील पालव कुंटुबात राहत्या घरात सुमारे ११ फुट उंचीचे भलेमोठे वारूळ आहे.
शिवाय गावात ऎक मंदिर असुन त्या मंदिरात देखिल भलेमोठे वारूळ आहे.
हे वारुळ नुसते वारुळ नसून, मंदिराचाच अविभाज्य भाग, म्हणजेच देवी आहे. देवीचं वास्तव्य त्या वारुळांत आहे. कोकणात वारुळ आणि सातेरी देवस्थान असे समीकरण दिसून येते. सातेरी देवी ही नागकन्या असल्याने कोकणात सातेरी देवीच्या मंदिरात मोठी वारुळे आढळतात.,या बद्दल असे सांगितले जाते की,या तलावाच्या मधोमध असलेल्या वारुळातून रक्त येऊ लागले, त्यावेळी तेथील एका ग्रामस्थाच्या स्वप्नात देवीने दृष्टांत दिला की, माझे वास्तव्य या मातीच्या वारुळात आहे आणि जनावरांपासून त्रास होत असल्याने याठिकाणी देवालय बांधा. देवीचा दृष्टान्त समजून ग्रामस्थानी त्याठिकाणी देवालय बांधले. गाभाऱ्यात सात ते आठ फुटांचे वारुळ असून या वारुळातच शेष रूपाने देवीचे वास्तव्य असून अनेक भक्तांना देवीचे दर्शन शेष रूपात होते. मसुऱ्याच्या बारावाड्यांची श्री देवी सातेरी मूळ देवी मानली जाते.

गावात आहे दारूबंदी

येथील गावच्या  लोकांची देवीवर  अपार श्रध्दा असुन  गावात कोणीही दारू पित नाही.गावात दारूबंदी आहे.
हे मंदिर पूर्वाभिमुख असून तिन्ही बाजूंनी ते पूर्णपणे पाण्यानं वेढलेलं आहे. मंदिरात एक मोठा मंडप व सभामंडप आहे. पूर्वी गाभा-यात मूर्ती नव्हती, तेव्हा एका उंच वारुळाची पूजा केली जात होती. त्या वारुळातच शेष रूपात देवीचं वास्तव्य असून अनेक भक्तांना देवीचं दर्शन शेष रू पानं झाल्याचं जुनेजाणते ग्रामस्थ सांगतात. मंदिराचा संपूर्ण परिसर निसर्गसौंदर्यानं नटलेला आहे. मंदिराच्या उजवीकडे एक विहीरवजा कुंड असून या कुंडातील पाणी कधीही आटत नाही.

मंदिराबरोबरच गावात पालव कुंटुबात राहते.त्यांच्या घरात सुध्दा ऎका खोलीत वारूळ आहे,त्याची उंची ११ ते १२ फुट असावी.पालव कुंटुबात या वारूळाची मनोभावे पुजा करत असुन गेल्या पाच पिढया हे वारूळ त्यांच्या घरात आहे. या वारूळाचा पालव कुंटुबाला कसलाही त्रास होत नाही. कोकणात कधी गेला तर येथे अवश्य भेट दया.
